Kogi To Produce Oil Soon – Governor Wada

Kogi State Governor Idris Wada has disclosed that the state would soon join the league of oil producing states in the country.

Capt  Wada made this known in a statement made available to LEADERSHIP in Lokoja yesterday, after the inauguration of Orient Petroleum’s Production facility, in Agulere Otu, Anambra State.

The governor, who spoke through his deputy, Yomi Awoniyi, pointed out that the state was excited over the inauguration of the newly established refinery.

He noted that the state would be a major stakeholder in the refinery considering the recent discovery and exploration of oil wells in Odeke community in Ibaji Local Government Area of the state.

The state government, according to Captain Wada, was doing everything humanly possible to resolve the issues surrounding the location of the oil wells with the contending states, even as he commended Orient Petroleum Refinery for the bold initiative.
