Pwajok, Chief Of Staff To Gov. Jang, Resigns

Mr. Gyang Pwajok, the Chief of Staff to Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau, State, has resigned his appointment.

A statement issued in Jos on Wednesday by Mr. James Mannok, the Director of Press Affairs to Jang, said the governor had accepted the resignation and wished the former officer “the best” in his future pursuits, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.

No reason was given for Pwajok’s exit but unconfirmed sources indicated that he was eyeing the now vacant Plateau North Senate seat.

The seat became vacant following the death, on July 8, of Sen. Gyang Dantong in a stampede when gunmen attacked mourners at a burial ground in Maseh, a village in Riyom Local Government.
