Local government chairmen in Kogi state, should have a bigger feel of the grassroots that they administer, if they to be seen to be effective.

That’s the candid view of Kogi state governor, Idris Wada, who says he won’t want to see the council bosses visiting Lokoja the state capital or the governor’s office at every given opportunity.

Wada said that he expects the chairman to make a plan for every quarter on what their intentions are and that there will be a monthly meeting to see what their challenges and problems are, concerning the plan.

The meeting will also evaluate their progress based on the plan which are drawn up as the development agenda for their various local governments.
