The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has decided to rename the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) following the spate of scandals and allegations of corruption reportedly oozing from the political organisation.
According to the PDP, the All Progressives Congress should better be called the 'All Professional Criminals'.
The PDP also mocked the APC administration over the allegation that the presidential committee on northeast awarded contracts worth billions of dollars to ghost companies.
The opposition party wondered how the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari could announce to the world that in less than two years, it had spent $2.6 billion fighting Boko Haram.
The PDP said it was lamentable that despite the fight and the fund pumped into it, the insurgents have continued to strike while the remaining Chibok girls are yet to be recovered.
The party had earlier argued that most of the arms used by the Nigerian military to prosecute the war against Boko Haram were procured by the administration of Goodluck Jonathan..
The Chibok girls were abducted by the Boko Haram sect while Jonathan was the president. It reportedly took the government about two weeks to come to terms with the incident.
Throughout the last administration, none of the girls was rescued. During its campaigns, the APC allegedly promised to bring back the girls once in power.

Some of the girls have been rescued as promised. There is however more pressure on the government to ensure the other girls are united with their families as soon as possible.
