Oshiomhole's son flags of campaign to run for Federal House of Representatives seat

There are reports that Dr Cyril Oshiomhole, one of the sons of former Edo state governor, Adams Oshiomhole has flagged off his campaign to run as a member of the Federal House of Representative representing Etsako constituency.

Cyril who is a US-based medical doctor is from the former governor's first marriage to late Clara Oshiomhole.

Oshiomhole's son is planning to take over the former job of current deputy governor of Edo state, Philip Shaibu.

It was gathered that elections are expected to be held in Etsako within 90 days after the seat has been declared vacant by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

In a related development, Adams Oshiomhole may be the next national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Nation reports that the current chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, is being considered for an ambassadorial position by the presidency.

Some APC governors want Oshiomhole to take over the position because of his antecedent as a labour leader.
